December Update

We appointed a new young member of staff this month. The three month old miniature black poodle, Buster. A picture of him getting to know Marjorie. A picture of our scottie dog, Poppy, too, so she doesn't get jealous. It is not easy to photograph black dogs!

Time for our fun packed Christmas activities!
Christmas Day was a happy day, with gifts for every resident, and a lovely three course dinner cooked by Debra, with her faithful sous chef (and husband) ably assisting.

There was a Christmas Quiz, Singalong, and Party in the week coming up to Christmas.
Possibly the most popular Christmas event was when the Kaleidoscope nursery brought the children to sing to us. Or maybe it was the trip to Victoria Road school to see their Christmas entertainment and join in with their singing.
Father Christmas came to play super prize Christmas bingo with us.

We invite every resident who is well enough, to go on a trip out with a group or with their key worker. Most residents opted for a lunch out, either in a pub or at the White Rose Shopping Centre. The key workers come in in their own time to take the residents out - they are stars!
There was a trip to the local pub for a drink and a game of dominoes.

A group of residents went on a shopping trip to Tong Garden Centre, though some of us just went for the coffee and cake!
